600 YD. Benchrest & Sporting Rifle Matches

Additional Information

Matches are held the third Sunday of each month.

First relay: $20, extra relays $10 each

Nearly any rifle can be used.

Try your hunting rifle or sniper rifle (NO 50 BMG)

Required equipment: Rifle, ammo, ear, and eye protection.

Recommended equipment: 9X power or more scope, shooting rest or bi-pod, rear sandbag or rabbit ear bag and an adjustable stool or chair. A spotting scope is handy but there is always someone to help you sight in.

A 'relay' is a 6-minute (or slightly longer) sight-in period (no shot limit), followed by a 10-shot, 10-minute scoring period (at first target), then a 2-minute sight-in period (no shot limit), followed by another 10-shot, 10-minute scoring period (at second target).

Shooters are NOT required to fire the max number of rounds due to overheating and may participate in more than one relay and may use a different rifle in each relay. Awards are issued for the smallest group, highest score, and closest to the bullseye. There are four (4) classes:

#1 - Factory/Stock

#2 - Modified/Sporter

#3 - Target/Sniper

#4 - Benchrest Light & Heavy

You need not be a member of UNSC to shoot or observe the match.

Sign in is 8 - 9 AM, shooting begins promptly at 9 AM.

All monthly matches will continue to be fun matches until further notice.

Check the event calendar for dates and times. Anyone interested in helping with the matches and/or assisting the Match Director, contact one of us below. You do not have to have a Benchrest rifle, we allow Sporting Rifle and Varmint Rifle. For more information, please contact the match director. We look forward to having another great year of shooting fun! See you at the match!
