Dear Member,
In case you aren't following the legislative action closely in Olympia regarding gun ownership, below are some links to Bills that need to be acted upon in opposition and additionally this email needs to be sent out to gun friendly citizens to oppose, should you choose to do so. Click on the link provided or cut and paste the link. Once there, fill-in your address and click the verify tab, click the representatives you would like to send your opposition to, fill in the comment section and send. I have included a pre-made comment for those people that choose to use it by cut n paste, or they can cut n paste parts of it, or they can write their own. Whatever they choose to do is very appreciated just as long as we all do something. Thank you in advance.
This proposed Legislation violates my constitutional rights at both the State and Federal levels. This Bill potentially inhibits me from protecting myself, my family and my property. Furthermore, I see it not only as a waste of precious legislative time to continue putting these known illegal bills up for discussion, but I find those signing on to such a bill that is knowingly illegal, and/or violates our constitutional rights, are not very intelligent or trustworthy. The lawlessness, housing, transportation, drugs, infrastructure, food/fuel prices, parental rights, and many other topics that have more of an everyday effect on the people of Washington State are far more important and critical to take up during our legislative sessions than to continually introduce legislation that again violates both our state constitution as well as our federal constitution. If passed, these Bills typically end up in litigation for months/years that continue to cost our taxpayers both dollars as well as resources and we get nowhere. I request the legislative body quit wasting our time and precious resources with these senseless proposals in light of the fact the taxpayers behind these proposals are a small minority of this state. From my perspective, with the State of Washington's "catch and release” approach to crime and violence in this state these Bills opposing our right to bear arms are useless, feel-good fodder, wastes time, wastes money and waste state resources. Especially when the real facts are criminals in the State of Washington that are using gun violence to achieve their agenda do not follow the laws to begin with. Just look at the recent news clip from KOMO 4 News where they showed automatic gun fire on Aurora Avenue in Seattle, that was not a gun purchased at any Gun Shop in Washington State, nor was it a gun legally owned by a citizen of Washington State, it was most likely brought in from out of this country and you are taking away my right to protect myself from such acts. You, our legislative body, are only hurting law abiding, taxpaying, and active voting citizens with these “Feel Good Bills”.
