The course of fire for silhouette matches will be

10 Chickens     Offhand     200 Meters

10 Pigs     Sitting or Prone Cross Sticks     300 Meters

10 Turkeys     Sitting or Prone Cross Sticks     385 Meters

10 Rams     Sitting or Prone Cross Sticks     500 Meters

Rifles and Ammunition

Any single shot breech loading rifle, of American design patent, produced prior to 1896 with an

exposed hammer, original or reproduction, using metallic sights typical of the era. Maximum weight is 12 lbs. 2 oz. Rifle must be chambered for cartridges of the American black powder era. Ammunition must be loaded with 100% black powder, or Pyrodex. Bullets may be cast or swaged and must be composed entirely of lead or lead alloy. Lubricated or paper patched without gas checks. Typical rifles include Sharps, Remington Rolling Blocks,  Winchester Highwalls, Stevens 44.5, Hepburns.

Classification

NRA Silhouette classification will be used.  Unclassified shooters will shoot with the highest classification.  If there are three or more scope shooters there will be a scope class award.

Awards

Medals will be awarded to the Match Winner in Scope & Iron classes, plus awards to Second & Third in Scope & Iron classes.   There will be optional animal

pot shoots. Awards will be presented immediately following the match.
